Catholic School Mission

Diocese of Bridgeport Catholic Schools

We Believe In Catholic Schools

The Mission of the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, guided by the Holy Spirit, is to care for the education and faith formation of our Catholic School Communities through leadership and service while advancing sustainable, thriving school models centered in the Excellence of Christ.

Providing your children with a Catholic School education will not only help them achieve all their milestones as far as cognitive learning goes, but their faith will be strengthened throughout each year they join us. We make sure to highlight all the academic learning points required by the state, while also providing classes and sessions revolving around teaching our students about the Catholic religion and the dedication to their faith that they will build upon each year.

Each of our schools is a distinct Catholic faith-filled community dedicated to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and student success. Diocese of Bridgeport schools are forming hearts, informing minds, and transforming lives. Serving families throughout Fairfield County Connecticut, our schools are located in Bethel, Bridgeport, Danbury, Fairfield, Greenwich, Newtown, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Stamford, Stratford, and Trumbull. sure to visit and set time for a personal tour. I am certain you will find more than a school, you will find a family.

Emphasis on Faith and Values

Rooted in the teachings and rich heritage of the Catholic Church, our schools provide a faith-filled environment where academic excellence and character development go hand in hand. Small class sizes, dedicated educators, and safe, welcoming communities ensure that every student is known, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.

At the Diocese of Bridgeport Catholic Schools, we recognize that parents are the first and most important educators of their children. Our schools are committed to forming strong partnerships with families, working together to nurture each child’s academic, spiritual, social, and emotional growth. Through open communication, shared values, and a collaborative approach to education, we create a supportive community where students can thrive.

We encourage parents to take an active role in school life and in their child’s faith journey. Whether through volunteering, participating in school events, serving in the Home & School Association (HSA), or reinforcing faith-filled lessons at home, parents play a vital role in advancing the mission of Catholic education. Together, we cultivate an environment where students grow in knowledge, character, faith, and service, preparing them to make a meaningful difference in the world.

A Catholic school education extends far beyond academic excellence. Rooted in faith and guided by Gospel values, our schools help students develop a strong sense of purpose, compassion, and responsibility to others. Through service projects, outreach initiatives, and meaningful community engagement, students learn the importance of putting their faith into action and making a positive impact on the world around them.

Serving others is an essential part of the Catholic school experience. From supporting local charities to participating in volunteer opportunities throughout Fairfield County, our students discover the value of empathy, leadership, and civic responsibility. These experiences foster a lifelong commitment to service, strengthen connections within the community, and help shape young people who are prepared to lead with integrity, kindness, and a global perspective.

We invite families to visit any of our schools and take time to explore our school websites to learn more about their accomplishments, unique curricula, and offerings in service, technology, the arts, and athletics.
