Accreditation

New England Association of Schools & Colleges

All schools in the Diocese of Bridgeport are fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. In order to become accredited, each school engages in a thorough and rigorous self-examination lasting 12-18 months. In the self-study, the school measures and verifies its achievements and identifies ways in which the institutional objectives can be perfected using the Standards for Accreditation as a guide.

After the self-study, a team of peer evaluators, who are faculty and administrators from other accredited institutions, conduct an on-site evaluation. This on-site evaluation lasts three days. The on-site evaluation assesses the institution taking into account the self-study. The team summarizes its findings in a written report which addresses the institution’s successes and suggests ways for improvement. Learn more at www.neasc.org
